Prayagraj has buildings of great importance to Hindu, Islamic, Jains and Christian religions. It's monuments span the ancient, medieval, Mughal, and colonial eras. Allahabad University stands as a historical seat of learning, linked with some of India's most prominent nationalist and intellectual figures.

During the Kumbh the added attractions may include interaction with the Prayagwal Panda, observing rituals at the Triveni Satsang, visiting Akahadas etc.
